SimplicityI only need to close my eyes,
And your by my side.
I could stare up at the starry skies,
Nothing could kill my love for you,
Yet my heart I will never hide.
I only need to hear your voice,
To wake from my despair.
I'd never lose this dream-like daze,
Everyday I will always be around,
A friendly face that will always care.
I only need to know your smile,
For me to start the day again.
I'll walk until my feet hurt for awhile,
But I'll continue on under the moon,
Because knowing you stops the pain.
Metamorphosis ManIn the mirror is the mortal man,
Looking up with halcyon eyes,
To that heaven lost in angelic skies.
Pity not I say, this feeble fool,
A demonic disaster who deals in lies.
See the shadow of that sane soul,
Sneaking across with velvet feet,
On battlefield remains of a crimson street.
Suffer does he, that wicked wretch,
A catatonic catastrophe is he yet to greet.
Vacate the vicinity of that vile villain,
Breaking hard each rustic bone,
In his diseased flesh above that putrid zone.
Infused in agony is that insane idiot,
A platonic patient free to roam alone.
The LoversWipe away that single tear,
My dear, my dear, my dear,
Nothing is out there.
There's nothing to fear;
Because your lover is here.
Why do you sit there and cry?
My dear, my dear, my dear,
All you ever needed,
Was for you to grow your wings:
Take a breath and fly.
Don't forget me now or ever,
My dear, my dear, my dear.
Reaping your rewards,
Of that unholy harvest that,
You did silently sow.
Sure you have me under a spell,
My dear, my dear, my dear.
This illusion of ours,
Is crumbling down in ruins;
So our love terminates in a death knell.
The Black RoseIn between such delicate fingertips;
She holds the blackest of roses,
And the dark petals brush her lips.
Her sombre shadow across her face,
Describes the bleakest of life's loses.
Such sweet scent floating in the air;
She breathes in the aroma of the black rose,
That scarlet stem entwines in her raven hair.
Her enchanting eyes are but a glaze,
Those wells of happiness have all but froze.
Thorns of iron dig into her soft skin;
She screams from the pain of that bloody rose,
With it's intoxication of simplistic sin.
Her haunting presence brings haste,
To a silence of a death nearing close.
Dream EscapeI wish I could dream again,
To forget my screams of pain.
In this house of the insane,
But here in this hell I must remain,
Never to survive in a sanctum of the sane.
I wish I could dream today,
To remember my memories of May.
Of a time before I could betray,
Yet now in this terror I cannot say,
Never to perish in a parody of a play.
I wish I could dream in death,
To relive my function of breath.
Until I call: it'll be tough,
Then I'll come back to what's left,
Forever to return to a reality so rough.
RotationIf everything I could say to you,
Was the finite words of my life,
In tragic times under skies blue.
Would I suffer the heartache,
And cruel cycles of stringent strife.
If everything I could show to you,
Was the premier ideals of our love,
By elusive eyes in shadows true.
Would we regret this façade,
And resentful revolutions from angels above.
If everything I could be to you,
Was the original phantom of your sight,
From mercurial memories of silhouettes too.
Would you ignore that masquerade,
And acrid aeons of passionate plight.
Dancing DragonsDancing dragons in the air,
Flying high with fluid flair.
Captured onto a celestial canvas,
Elegant eyes sketching with a beautiful brush,
As they dive down into a reckless rush.
Soaring serpents in the wind,
Twisting around with kinetic kind.
Imprisoned onto a pure photograph,
Graceful gazes painting with a sincere snap,
As they lie low to take a nuanced nap.
Wandering wyverns in the skies,
Swimming fast with cherubic cries.
Engraved onto a fantastical frame,
Dexterous digits carving with a seraphic skill,
As they swiftly swerve by their wondrous will.
Howling hydras in the zephyr,
Cruising free with winter weather.
Trapped onto a vivacious vase,
Talented tools etching with a glorious guile,
As they fly fierce in their triumphant trial.
Living Beyond A Black DeathMurder of crows flock in skies above me,
Pecking slithers off skin and soul.
Is this a death of destiny I see before I die?
A corrupting cortex that makes black flesh cry,
Waking up to a morgue of maggots and flies.
I can see your vile heart pleading,
I can see your cold screams bleeding,
I can see it even before my tears stop weeping.
I hurt when you're still crying over a dying me,
A personification of the dead waiting to be free.
Horde of rats cluster in sands beside me,
Gnawing matter from muscle and mind.
Is this a fate of fear I hear before I flee?
A voiceless vortex that makes white pain sigh,
Waking up to a sanctum of spiders and lice.
I can hear your sick voice churning,
I can hear your cruel dreams burning,
I can hear it even after my fears start creeping.
I hurt when you're still praying over a decaying me,
A personification of the dead waiting to be free.
Reign Of DeathBeware of demons sleeping in the dark,
Flames lick their faces and like dogs they bark.
Wake up in a land under the reign of death,
To a severe existence of eternal agony,
Where nothing but venom escapes your breath.
Beware of sinners basking in the smoke,
Lashes slit their lips like snakes they choke.
Wake up in a land under the reign of doom,
To a extreme catastrophe of continuing pain,
Where nothing but evil escapes your womb.
Beware of liars waiting in the light,
Whips crack their wrists like lions they fight.
Wake up in a land under the reign of despair,
To a dire isotope of infinite screams,
Where nothing but love escapes your care.
Silver Egg!Celtic mists of time
Our land from long ago
There lies silver dragon egg
Sadly left with feelings of woe.
Nest on Carrauntoohil
Secret spot unknown
Safe throughout endless years
Millennium all on its own.
Dragon now seeks long lost egg
Feeling relief when it's found
Where she'd left it, long ago
Glittering silver on Celtic ground.
Red and green dragon wings
Flapping silently this quiet night
Mother breathes nurturing fire
Egg breaks there's dragon life.
Waiting on Celtic twilight
Pair fly high on Carrauntoohil
Portal into glories past
Door to home will open soon.
Thundering Sea!Seahorses thunder towards shore
Galloping high on crest of waves
This moment they ride storm
Jumping surf, courageously brave.
Foam creates memorible images
Carved from angry violent sea
Manes, tails fly in wind wildly
Equine display, totally free.
Noise of hoofs beneath waves
Rumbles sound like thunder
Nostrils flare, herd drives storm
Stand in absolute wonder.
Reluctantly wind blows itself out
Seahorses sink gradually into waves
Gone like storm, moment is over
Images seared into thunderstruck brain.
Deer HuntingCoolly, smoothly,
a deer fondly grazes
beneath sun so fulgent of brim
his soft glorious pile so deep and
rich, so sleek and beautiful
his glistening shadow sways through the blades
in awe of his towering spines
that slice through sky so silver;
a hunter cruelly gazes
under canopy's cover so dim
his burlap khaki rags so coarse and
rugged so poor, but suitable
his cold murderous shadow hides behind the shade
the cackle of a rifle cold and confined,
his shot rips through the air so dither.
Black SwanCrickets chirp as their summer dies
and so too their generation, while
a black swan glides through
the reeds of a gentle evening
to the chorus of a million love songs,
identical as she is different in every way,
different as her groomed feathers
give off a deep blue sheen-
to reflect and disturb the still water;
tiny ripples to crashing crescendo-
standing out alone as does his love
for the insane one, for the beauty of
a sunrise that will come when
his lips move and beckon her near-
her quick eyes spy his prickly beard
as his black swan comes to preen.
I Never Meant to Hurt YouI've never felt so worthless
As you make me feel
My closest friend
Remember that we used to have it all
We had everything but a ring on our hands
Sometimes I wonder if you couldn't see
The way I looked at you
But thinking back I know for sure
You felt this way too
And that's the thing about thinking back
It can never change the future
That you've started with someone else
Winter came the day you left
And it lingered until you returned
I sat there on my bed
Looking out the window
Until you brought back the sun
Everything we had
You're willing to let go
The city we built
You're just going to let it fall?
The words that I wrote
Don't have a meaning to me anymore
Because I gave you everything I had
And you're just going to walk out the door
I know that when you're alone again
You'll turn to me for help
I like to think that maybe I'll say no
But you know
What we had is too precious for me to destroy
So here I stand
Alone once again
And I can't dry my eyes
Stolen RainDark clouds cover Sol's radiance,
Gravity pulls down their tears,
Washing away the impurities of solar stagnation,
Fueling life's widening gyre,
The cycle of viral expansion,
Birthed by star dust and given reign.
Storm!Swollen rivers, journey tumultuous
Towards coast, shore and sea
Gale-force winds whip up waves
Ocean pounding no one to see.
Spiteful rain stings those exposed
Wind nips bare legs with glee
Umbrellas useless...blown inside out
Warm fire beckons' home for me.
Curtains drawn against storm
Flickering candles, friendly glow
Peat fire lit, warms room
Safe from elements....let them blow.
Don't Cry Please...No more crying, I can't take it.
It hurts me to see those tears streaming down your face.
I'd fix everything for you if I could.
I'd trade my world for yours any day.
I'd give you my life,
Just to see you happy.
And so you don't have to go through any more pain.
Don't you see I'd do anything for you?
Can we please just be happy about that?
No more crying...
Perfect WordsPerfect words are trapped within,
But how could I tell you,
I lack the soft sanity to begin.
Forgive me with your emerald eyes,
I'll stand alone under sapphire skies.
Perfect words are waiting air,
But how could I show you,
Where that summer sun hits your hair.
Forget me with your golden grace,
I'll stand alone in platinum place.
Perfect words are breathing free,
But how could I hear you,
As your silken smile finally reaches me.
Find me through your titanium tears,
We'll stand together above silver seas.
