The notion of fear is very real to us, even if you say it isn't on the beginning of your poem. But yes, it does stop us from so many things that it can fully stop us from being happy.
The poem is well written, it's very real (we can all relate to that) and it's beautiful in its whole. It's also very full with meaning.
