If you can't tell from the title, this poem was inspired by the Series 3 Doctor Who monster: The Weeping Angel. The episode entitled "Blink" by Steven Moffat, must be to me one of the most entertaining and most rewarding episode of Doctor Who.
Even though "The Silence" are a worthy opponent in the most scariest of Moffat's creations. I still accredit the seemly benign aspect of sending people back in time to live out their lives as an original take on being killed.
And yes, I'm an avid Who fan. I've seen all the Doctors stories, or most of them. Bit upset I had to sell all of my dvds of them though. Gutted is the word.
The poem itself is set in an urban middle class suburb. With an angel standing in a garden full of weeds and nettles as though it's been there for quite some time.
I have done this in my own style and could be taken out of the context of Doctor Who if prefered.
