Avalon
Disaster struck upon the Earth
Chaos spread like a wildfire
And the humanity split
Turning on one another
Soon nothing was left but the bare dust of the burned
The virus spread and killed everyone
And in time the dead came back to life
Hunting the living and punishing them for their sins
The Armageddon came and we couldn't escape
The world fell in to the dust of destruction
With each day the living decay as the dead arise
With each moment the remains of humanity fade
The sun blazes over the dying lands
The dry rivers and burned fields
Only the road keeps on going forever
Only the road keeps us alive
We move from

Literature
In a Moment...
In a moment
…of transparent stillness
when,
the last of the night jewels, falls
a dust of stars forsakes the sky
and embraces the land
only then,
a cry is heard,
the sand is as time itself...
a wild diamond or just a crystal grain
…of intersection and greatness
when,
the dawn descends
with her gown of bliss and fresh ornaments
flirting and greeting, the first radiant sunbeams
only then,
the river mists return slowly to the clouds
all things sway in the southeast breeze...
such perfect balance.

Wrote this while brain-dead at half 6 in the morning without any sleep beforehand for nearly a day. On top of that sinuses were playing up due to a cold so had to suffer through a lovely throbbing ache behind my eyes, plus an annoying cough so every 5 seconds was spent with a coughing fit. I have no idea where this came from. I was wanting to write something a lot more light-hearted, but oh well I just went with what poured out of my mind, even if it is black and twisted. I'm not depressed. This is a conceptual poem, not of myself, but of a character that formalised in my mind during the process of writing. I find it easier to write in the first person more than the third, since the former is a lot more malleable than the latter. And to conclude this is my 930th poem since I started writing back in mid July 2011.

This would also make a great nine inch nails song, nice, very nice work. Thank you for sharing with us mere mortals, lol.
